Dr Wei graduated as one of the top students at Monash Medical School in 1995 and went against the conventional career path of an honours student to become a medical inventor in the space of digital bio-communication. He gained worldwide recognition in his work on social application of digital bio-communication and became the youngest nominee of CNN People Choice Award in 2003. Dr Wei's work was featured by international media all around the world including Discovery Channel, CNN, BBC, Fox News, CNBC, ABC, Time, Wired, ZDF German TV, ARTE French TV, Japan TV, Yomiuri Shimbun, Korean SBS TV, Figaro, Asian Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Guardian UK, LA Times, ChannelNewsAsia, Age, Sunday Times UK, Newsweek, Tatler, Bazaar, Marie Claire New York, Glamour Paris etc. Today, Dr Wei is a regular speaker at many medical conferences; he has his own TV and radio shows, magazines, and a host of wireless services.

PROFESSOR MARC COHEN
President, Australasian Integrative Medicine Association (AIMA); Founding Head,
Department of Complementary Medicine, RMIT University, VIC, Australia


Marc Cohen is the Founding Professor of Complementary Medicine at RMIT University, President of the Australasian Integrative Medicine Association and an Honorary Senior Research Fellow with the Monash Institute of Health Services Research. He is the Past Founding Director of the Centre for Complementary Medicine at the Monash Institute for Health Services Research at Monash University.

Professor Cohen plays an active role in research into complementary medicine and is directly involved in randomised controlled trials of various complementary therapies, qualitative research into complementary medicine use as well as research into the underlying principles and basic mechanisms behind many complementary therapies.

Professor Cohen also plays an active role in the teaching of complementary medicine at undergraduate and postgraduate levels to both doctors and other health practitioners. Professor Cohen has presented widely at national and international conferences and is widely sought after for expert commentary by the media. He has been responsible for organising five Holistic Health Conferences in Australia between 2000-2004 and in 2003 was the Chair of the Organising Committee for the First World Congress on Chinese Medicine. He has acted as Temporary Adviser to the World Health Organisation on quality assurance in complementary medicine education and has held a number of ministerial appointments on education accreditation committees.


MIKE AMOUR
Ex Chairman & CEO, Grey Group Asia Pacific

Mike’s successful entrepreneurial career spans multiple country and brand cultures. He has lived and worked in London, New York, Tokyo, Paris, Portland and Singapore, managing operations and clients for the world’s top advertising agency networks including Wieden + Kennedy, McCann-Erickson, TBWA\Worldwide, and Grey Group. His brand experience includes Nike, Coca-Cola, American Express, Procter & Gamble, GSK, Johnson & Johnson, Wal-Mart, Gucci, UPS, Nissan, Nestle, L’Oreal.

Mike joined advertising in l985 as one of McCann-Erickson’s youngest Account Directors. In 1989 he moved to New York as global Vice President to head up the launch of UPS’s international advertising campaign, then to Tokyo in 1991, where he became EVP/Chief Operating Officer of the agency’s second largest office worldwide. He was subsequently lured by TBWA\Worldwide to become Managing Director/Europe based in Paris, where he also helped develop a joint venture with Hakuhodo for Nissan’s global communications, then moved to New York as EVP, Global Business Development.

Grey Group appointed Mike as Chairman & CEO, Asia Pacific in January 2005, based in Singapore. During his four year tenure, Mike led Grey’s extensive portfolio of communications companies across 17 countries in Asia, doubling the profitability of the operations, at the same time as increasing scale via new business and acquisitions. In recognition of his efforts to make Grey vastly more competitive and in improving all professional service areas, Mike was nominated Network Agency Head of the Year by Media Magazine in 2007.


PHILIP FONG
Partner, Harry Elias Partnership

In 1995, Philip joined Harry Elias Partnership as a partner. His main areas of practice are: general civil litigation, criminal law, commercial disputes, shareholders disputes, contentious probate matters, contested matrimonial ancillary matters, employment dispute matters, anti-competition and/or restrictive covenants issues, breaches of employee confidentiality, and prosecution of professionals for misconduct.

Since joining the firm in 1995, Philip has been involved in substantial criminal defence work of the same kinds of cases enumerated above.

Adding to his forte in criminal practice, he now acts as prosecuting counsel against professionals, such as accountants, lawyers and doctors on behalf of statutory professional associations or bodies. Philip has been an active member to advise the Singapore Medical Council on medical ethics.

Philip is a regular speaker at seminars, conventions and conferences on issues relating to directors' duties, securities laws and white-collar crimes.


WALTER LEE
Ex Director of Business Development, SingHealth

Walter is a veteran in the medical tourism industry, with more than 15 years of experience in the training and operations of Human Resource and organisations within the public health domain. In 2005, he became the Director of Business Development in Singapore National Eye Centre and National Heart Centre of Singapore, where he was responsible for charting and developing business opportunities across the region and international markets.


GEOFF SPILLER
Managing Director, GMS (Asia Pacific) Ltd.

Geoff started his marketing career with British Airways before moving to DHL where a nine year career culminated in him achieving the position of Worldwide Marketing & Communications Manager based at the corporate headquarters in Brussels. A move to Asia in 1989 saw him join the hospitality industry working as Vice President - Asia Pacific for Choice Hotels International and later with Summit Hotels & Resorts, and Golden Tulip. Geoff also established and operated a Hotel Management company with Hotels in Indonesia and Australia. In 1998, Geoff formed GMS (Asia Pacific) Ltd. where he now serves as Joint Managing Director.


SUSIE KONG
President Incumbent, Commonwealth Nurses Federation

Ms Susie Kong is a dynamic nurse leader with a great passion for nursing. Susie received her nursing education in England. She also holds a Masters Degree in Healthcare Management from University of Wales (Swansea), United Kingdom.

In the last 30 years, she has held several senior management positions which include Assistant Director of Nursing and Corporate Services Director at Mt Elizabeth Hospital, Director of Operations at Raffles Medical Group, Director of Management Services at Temasia Health, Executive Director of Sharyim Health Services and Executive Director of the Singapore Nurses Association. She also worked as a short term consultant for the World Health Organisation, in LAOS and Vietnam. Her work experience includes hospital planning, quality assurance and home care services.

Susie has served as the President and the executive director of the Singapore Nurses Association (SNA)from 1998-2008. Under her strong leadership, the association grew not only in size, but in stature and is now regarded as the ‘voice’ of nursing in Singapore. She was elected President of the Commonwealth Nurses Federation for the term 2005-2009 and re-elected for the term 2009-2013 and is the first Singapore nurse to hold this position.

Richard Price has 25-years of leadership and management experience which includes: Managing Director, Vice President, Project Manager, Consultant with firms that include EDS, SAIC Healthcare, IBM, Robbins-Gioia, John Hancock Group Health and HealthRX. Clients and associations include: Ministry of Health (Vietnam), Bumrungrad Hospital, Assunta Hospital, and Asian Hospital and Medical Center, Kaiser Permanente, HCA, and US government healthcare programs including Federal Employees Health Plan, and Medicare/Medicaid. Mr. Price had also served as committee member for the Tsunami related, Post-Disaster Rebuild Methodology for the Project Management Institute, in addition to the Portfolio Managment Revision Committee. He is also adjunct MBA faculty in the USA and Asia teaching a variety of project management courses.
